Any other women willing to admit that they are not “on” 24/7? I mean I don’t always have the answers, my life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows and I definitely do not lead a perfect life. I have phases (if you will) where I don’t feel completely confident all the time or 100% sure of myself. I think naturally as women we sometimes question ourselves and the decisions that we make. I definitely have my “seasons” where I don’t feel as confident and I have to find a way to shake myself back because let’s be real, no one else can do it for you. We have to look deep within ourselves to find that confidence. Now I am not saying that you can’t have friends or other loved ones who assure you of our potential but at the end of the day, that confidence has to come from within.
I was originally inspired by a previous blog post, 5 Tips to Gaining and Maintaining Your Self Confidence . I figured it was time to revamp this post. So in today’s post, I am going to share some ways to renew your confidence and to kick your winter blues. If you are interested in this post, just keep reading!
Update Your Workout Routine
You may be feeling totally bored of your workout routine and feeling less than motivated to hit the gym. Or perhaps, one of your new year resolutions was to hit the gym and that resolution fell off. Well the change in seasons may be just what you need to finally get started! Plus once you finish your workout, you will feel accomplished and confident that you can complete other tasks that you may have been putting off.
Get out of the house
During the winter, I know I can become somewhat of a hermit so getting out of the house is essential for me. During the cold months, we are spending a lot more time than normal indoors and sometimes that has the effect to make us a little lazy. Even if it is just for a walk, getting some fresh air and the sun hitting your skin may be just the boost that you needed. As humans, it is vital that we interact with other humans so get out the house and go to a coffee shop or event!
Travel
A change in scenery is always great to get the creative juices flowing! Traveling has proven time and time again all the benefits of it! You get to learn about other cultures, expand your horizons and step out of your comfort zone. A vacation can be as enriching as it is liberating. Plan a trip with close friends or go solo and explore! There are a number of ways to travel these days for little or nothing. If you guys like a travel guide or list of awesome inexpensive places to travel, let me know in the comments below!
Face your Fears
You have something that ultimately terrifies you? I mean like stop you in your tracks and gives you anxiety just thinking about? Then that’s the thing you need to be going after! Maybe it is a dream of yours but fear is stopping you from going for it. Just do it! Maybe you have always wanted to learn a unique skill but for whatever reason you haven’t put it into action yet. When we face our fears head on and overcome then, not only is your confidence renewed but you also get the freedom that comes with it. The most awesome and beautiful things happen the moment you step outside of your comfort zone. You don’t want to live your life with regrets or wondering “what if”.
De-clutter your Life
Having a junky or cluttered house, office or mind – productivity can become non-existent. Not to mention, your creativity immediately becomes stagnant. Having a clean house or office and a clear mind can be just the thing to rejuvenate your creativity plus you are doing things that you love. Exploring our creativity allows us to explore and learn about ourselves, not just as creatives but humans period. Acknowledgment of self is an essential part to self confidence as well as artistry.
