1. You’ll never know if you never try.
As cliche’ as it sounds, this statement couldn’t be more true. You will never truly understand and acknowledge your full potential if you don’t set yourself up to explore every opportunity possible. The worst thing that can happen is that you fail (which you shouldn’t be afraid of) but honestly it is inevitable. Failure will happen at some time or another so it is something that should be embraced rather than avoided.
2. There’s no better time than now.
The reality is that people start over everyday. With that means new businesses, new ventures, new products and services that are being provided by people just like you and me. What makes them any better than you? Absolutely nothing! You can start today too! I mean and if you aren’t, then why?! Besides no sense in putting off for tomorrow what you can do today.
3. Because #FOMO is real!
Am I the only one who gets on my timeline and see all these posts like; “#SheSaidYes”, “It’s a boy!”, “I got the job!”, “#LoveMyLife”. (Ok I am totally guilty of doing that last one.) My point is there is always some good news to share. Even though I am always happy to see my friends and family living life – one can easily feel like life is personally passing them by. You definitely want to make sure that you are living a life that you are happy and proud about. So if there is something that you want to do, do it! Some of the most successful and happiest people in life believe that life happens for them and not to them….
And trust me, there is a difference.
4. Because you will never be more ready than you are now.
There is a reason that that special project is on your mind/heart to do. Usually we are slow to pursue our passion projects because we don’t put our passions as a priority in our lives. While some get to work doing what they love – most individuals don’t. Which means that the things that they are passionate about and love doing end up on the back burner and neglected. It is easy to get caught up in the day to day with work, spouses and children that your passions are more of an afterthought. So if you have been experiencing a nagging feeling or gut telling you that you should start then don’t ignore it! God put that on your heart for a reason so wouldn’t you want to see what God may have in store for you? Plus you owe it to yourself to see if this is something that you really want to do! Even if you don’t have all the resources or tools that you need – start anyway! You will amaze yourself at how resourceful you can be and how much you can grow. The opportunity starts with you!
What’s something that you have done in the past that prevented you from pursuing the things you love? What is a bad habit that you want to discontinue this year? Let me know in the comments below! Also shout out if you need an accountability partner so we can help each other this year!
As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie J
