Winter Look Book 2018 – Trends to Try Now!

“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.” ~ Les Brown
Hey sweetie pies! My apologies on not getting up a post on Wednesday. Due to the arctic blast that we have had here in Houston, my power went out and then my internet was out for 2 days! Y’all I had no understanding! Nonetheless I am beyond excited for today’s post as I am finally sharing part 1 of my winter lookbook! I know this post is extremely late but better late than never right? With so many hot trends at the moment, I couldn’t waste no more time getting this post out! Check out my lookbook and some of the hottest trends below!
Puffer coats are being seen everywhere this winter. I think they are the perfect coat for an urban street style look such as the one below. I started with this cropped hoodie. Yours doesn’t have to be cropped I just opted for this style. To create some juxtaposition, I paired it with this vinyl skirt – the pop of red and front zipper detail is everything! If you don’t own a vinyl skirt, a regular denim skirt is just as cute. To keep it cool and cute – opt for a pair of sneakers with a beanie hat. The beanie hat is super adorable and looks cute with a pair of silver hoops. How adorable is this handbag? I love the shape, the style everything! Plus it is super cute to wear over this puffer coat! I love this metallic finish – making it super on trend! Complete this daytime look with a pair of metallic shades.

Don’t put away those embellished pieces just yet. Embellishments on any and everything is still being seen this season. I saw this jacket and knew I had to build a piece around it! I love the details in the design. I love love love pieces that have a little special detail to them – they instantly upgrade your look! I decided to the keep the foundation of this look with a solid white button down and black jeans. Me personally, I would opt for a half tuck but you can definitely wear it however you choose! How glam are these booties?! For some this may be an overload but for me it is just enough! I love boyfriend style watches – this silver one is everything! Pair it with a few sparkling bangles, (you’re going to be so surprised at the price) some studs and mirrored sunnies. To complete this look and add a pop of color, I opted for this designer dupe in a rich red hue.

Statement earrings are still trending. I personally love pairing them just a chunky knit and a pair of jeans! This Gucci belt is being seen on bloggers everywhere and compliments every look perfectly. These earrings are so gorgeous and inspired my other accessory choices. These booties and handbag are so adorable. Complete the look with this color block jacket for an ode to the 90s!

This look is for my girly girls out there. When I first saw this faux fur coat, I knew I had to create a look around it! Faux fur coats are everywhere this season – if you don’t have one well then what are you waiting for? No matter your budget, faux fur coats can be found pretty much any major retailer. You just have to find one that you love! Now you’re probably saying, “but haven’t people worn faux fur coats before? So what’s so new about it?”. Well what it makes it different this time around is that these are being styled all ways imaginable! Whether you dress them up with a dress and heels or dress them down with jeans and sneakers – you can incorporate a faux fur coat into your wardrobe. I opted for this gorgeous sequin mini dress with adorable bell sleeves. Plus that collar is everything! I love that little detail as well as the zipper. Since it still freezing out, I opted for these thigh high black boots. I opted for feminine and delicate accessories to keep the aesthetic going. This rose gold watch looks gorgeous paired with the two gold and pearl bracelets. Stack them on one wrist for a major arm party. These earrings make a statement without going over the top, plus they are the perfect compliment to the pearl embellished beret. Complete the look with this candy striped handbag and pastel sunnies.

This neutral monochromatic was created with plus sizes but all of the looks shown here can be worn on you regardless of your size! 🙂 I started with this knit sweater dress. The pleats at the bottom are the perfect touch and it is velvet! I then opted for these camel booties with the metallic heel. The tortoiseshell and gold earrings are everything. For this everyday look, you need an everyday handbag and sunglasses. For outerwear, I opted for a fur collar coat with a tie belt.

This look is definitely more of a wild card but so worth the risk! I started with this leopard faux fur coat, because why not? This coat is simply everything! I then opted for this pajama style blouse with wide leg cropped jeans. For some fun with print mixing, I opted for these snakeskin boots. This satin scarf adds some color to this look plus they went well with these gold statement  earrings. This black bag and retro glasses pull the entire look together. This outfit is definitely for the girl who likes to take risks in fashion.

This look is as comfy as it is cute! I started with this knit dress that has these lace up details. I think opted for this velvet biker jacket. Which I thought was a nice change from the usual leather biker jacket. I opted to play with textures by incorporating this patent backpack. I opted for suede otk boots with a solid black beanie and these cool aviator sunnies. For an added layer of warmth and color, I completed this look with a magenta knit infinity scarf.

This next look is a casual glam daytime look but can also work at night. I started with these leather leggings. These are easily a staple in anyone’s closet due to their versatility. I opted to dress it up a bit with these gorgeous (and affordable) studded booties. I then paired that with this oversized sweater. Oversized sweaters are awesome because they are comfortable but super stylish! You can wear it with bottoms or alone as a dress! I completed the look with simple accessories. This velvet baker boy cap  and sunnies compliment the shoes and this designer dupe handbag perfectly! Complete the look with oversized hoop earrings and a gold watch and you are set!

For this next look I started with this dress. What appealed to me about this dress was the design and the style. I also loved this cool color palette. To keep the cool tones, I opted for a blue pastel backpack with matching sunnies and these gorgeous earrings. I decided to keep the rest of the look neutral with black lace up booties and a black faux fur collar coat.

The last look in part 1 of my winter look book is ideal for my vixens out there.  I started with this sexy vinyl pencil skirt. I then paired it with this polka dot tie up blouse. I thought it created juxtaposition as well as cinch in the waist. I then added this faux fur vest which is simply gorgeous! I then opted for red accessories to make this look a little fun! To start, I opted for these low red booties and these red sunnies. I think this look will be amazing with a low bun, a red lip and these gorgeous statement earrings. To complete the look and add a unique element, I opted for this circular handbag. How cool is it? I love this handbag.
