How to Combat Oily Skin When Wearing Makeup

Hey  sweetie pies! Does any one struggle with oily skin, especially when wearing makeup? If you do, trust me you are not alone. I for one struggle with oily skin especially in my T-Zone area and it drives me crazy! While some prefer a “dewy” look when wearing makeup, I am ALL about that Matte life! When combating oily skin, the first place to start is skin care. For some, oily skin is a result of large pores which can be genetic unfortunately. But do not fret, because I am going to share some skin care products to use regularly to combat oily skin as well as some products to use when wearing makeup. 

Ever since I bought this product I have been in LOVE! It can be tough to find a moisturizer especially one that won’t leave you feeling like an oil slick. But this product is so different, when applied to the skin it has an oily consistently and dries to a matte finish. This makes it perfect for primer for the face. Plus it is made with all natural ingredients, a definite plus in my book!

This mask is awesome! With this mask, it perfect to use weekly to extract dirt and debris from your pores. Since I have started using this mask, I have noticed a difference in oil control in my T-Zone area. This mask is made with all fresh and cruelty free ingredients. Can you say Sa-Woon?!

I have oily/combo skin where my T-Zone is oily while the rest of my face is normal to dry. This toner is one of my holy grails that I have used for literally over a year now. It is very inexpensive and can be found in any drugstore. This toner has helped to calm my T-zone without drying out the other areas on my face. You know how some toners make your skin feel stripped and dry? Well this toner doesn’t that at all cue it’s name. 🙂

Since I prefer a matte look when wearing makeup, a mattifying primer is a must! I really like using this one and it has amazing reviews online. Makeup Forever has a lot of different primers such as the smoothing primer to help smooth and minimize large pores. 

I keep this powder on me at all times for touch-ups throughout the day if needed. If you are wearing makeup, especially for an extended period of time, you NEED a setting powder. This one is very inexpensive and can be found at stores such as WalMart and Target. Another awesome option is the translucent powder by Laura Mercier. All the Youtubers have raved about it and it has awesome reviews! It is perfect for us oily girls. (Ok that didn’t sound cool AT ALL! lolz)

I know for a fact that you can sample products at Lush stores as well as get samples to take home and try out!
