How to Style : Winter Lookbook

Winter season is in full swing. I am pleased to say that even in Texas we have been seeing lower than average temps in the weather. I always get so excited about winter because I feel that it’s only right. Winter is the perfect time to play with layers and various textures. Fashion reminiscent of the 90s has definitely made a comeback in terms of bright hues, oversized clothing and fanny packs. Be prepared to see these style tips and more with an updated and unique feel. If you are interested in seeing how I would style trends for the winter season, then please keep reading.

This first look is great for the chic fashionista on the go. A cute sweater dress is simple yet stylish enough to accessorize and elevate. A pair of sassy leopard boots go a long way, especially with the slouchy detail which is very trendy at the moment. For warmth, a trench coat and leather gloves in camel gives the overall look an air of class. A pair of statement earrings to hit right above the turtleneck with a gold pendant necklace and the right touch of glam and shine. Lastly, a Louis Vuitton carryall to hold all of your necessities as you take on the day!
In case the previous look wasn’t enough leopard for you, then this look is great for you! Leather pants are definitely in this season and super versatile! Here they are paired with a colorful graphic tee and leopard mules. A leopard faux fur coat for added drama. For accessories we have gold honeycomb style dangle earrings, complimented with a black bag and beret hat. Lastly, a pair of mirrored sunnies to round out the look. Perfect look for the bold fashionista looking to make a statement.
This look is more ideal for my warmer climates. I could easily get away with this look down here in the South. However, with a few additions you can definitely rock this look in a colder climate. Opt for a pair of tights and tall socks, as well as an oversized coat with gloves and scarf. This is an easy look to recreate with a black skirt and white long sleeve shirt. Add a pair of boots with a cardigan. You can have fun with your accessories such as this leopard hat and studded handbag. If you don’t have such, opt for a beanie hat or baker’s boy cap. Also any color handbag will work since the rest of your outfit is neutral. Just have fun and wear what feels good to you.
I love a cute sweaterdress in the wintertime! This one is super fun and great to wear on those super gray days. The bold print in conjunction with the bright colors makes the dress the focal point. For the shoes, I opted for this sock bootie that looks similar to football tube socks which I adore. Puffer coats are really hot this season and this silver screams look at me! Ode to the 90s with this hot pink fanny pack and large silver hoop earrings to complete the look.
This look is for the lady who appreciates a classic minimalist wardrobe with the occasional print. She also is not a fan of bright colors as she prefers a more neutral color palette when it comes to her wardrobe. Unique touches in terms of structured pieces and soft fabrics, this look is great for the no nonsense woman on the go with a million other things to worry about besides her wardrobe. I started with a pair of jeans since they are so universal with this flattering wrap top. The top allows a little color into an otherwise muted look while adding to the silhouette. A beige pair of mules that will literally go with every thing from denim to pencil skirts. A soft cashmere scarf to keep warm and a belted wool-blend wrap coat to compliment your figure. Finally this gray handbag can go from day to night easily and has a convertible strap for versatility.
I love the sexiness and simplicity of this outfit. With minimal accessories, the dress is allowed to be the focal point. Crochet and lace details are everything here. In addition, the ruffles in the middle help define the waist and gives the dress more shape. A pair of thigh high boots to accentuate the legs. A long shearling coat helps to add texture and major warmth. Lastly, a structured tote to hold all of your essentials.
I recently snagged myself a pair of leopard mules like these. I find myself wearing them with often with denim and a cute sweater. This soft pink sweater and dark denim is a great combo, complimented by the bold shoe. A chevron print faux fur coat that is as bold as the shoes for the outerwear. To help bring out the white in the coat, this bucket handbag is the perfect accessory. A cuff bracelet and dangle earrings for the jewelry and a pair of fire red sunglasses complete this look.
