Dance Resolutions – Update

“You are on the eve of a complete victory. You can’t go wrong. The world is behind you.” ~ Josephine Baker
What up sweetie pies! I was looking through my blogging notebook – which is where I keep my ideas. I noticed that I haven’t done an update on my dance resolutions! I definitely feel like I have grown as a dancer as well as a teacher! It makes me feel really good to be able to look back and notice that I have achieved some of my goals. You can read all about it below!

This is the updated post from a previous post. You can check it out here.
Dance Resolution : Take More Classes
I definitely wanted to begin taking more classes and I am so happy to say that I have! I have been trying to train and learn as much as I can. I have taken ballet, hip hop, modern, contemporary, ballroom and jazz classes. I have also been teaching a lot and it helps me ten fold! In order for me to be a good teacher, I have to be a great student!
Dance Resolution : To not be afraid to be myself out there
I wanted to start putting myself out there, with videos in particular. I will do live videos on Facebook from time to time and I upload dance videos on my Instagram. I have tried to upload different styles such as heels, hip hop and contemporary. It has been fun and I love when you guys show me love on those posts! I feel like I am finally showing a huge part of my life. I really appreciate the support. Your comments always make my day!
Dance Resolution : Work on my Improvisation Skills
I haven’t been recording this progression (which I will change soon) but I do feel like I am improving. I have a strong emotional approach to improv. All I am concerned with is the feeling and being in the moment and see where it takes me. I want to get back for dancing for me. Often times, when it becomes like work, you miss just moving how you want and how you feel.
Is it time for to do a check-in on your resolutions/goals? I hope you are achieving your goals while continuously setting new ones! I am rooting for ya! Share a recent win no matter how big or small because all wins matter in the comments below!
As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie J
