“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.” ~ Arthur C. Clarke
Hey hey sweetie pies! Did you check out part 1 of my Fall Style Lookbook? If not, make sure to go give it a look. Part 2 will definitely be coming soon! For today’s look I wanted to provide some outfit inspiration with a tribute to mod style. One thing about me and my style, I wear exactly what I want. Please note that the white button down is actually a shirt that I got from my boyfriend that I often wear as a dress. I have styled this oversized top in a number of ways such as here and here. When I tell you guys where I got this black and white checkered dress from you won’t believe me.
I got it from Wal-Mart for $3!!! It is actually a tunic that I got in a larger size to fit like a dress! Pretty groovy huh? (That’s a reference from one of my favorite 90s movies, can you guess what it is? Leave me a comment below of just the movie title)
I decided to pair it with these booties and threw on some fun accessories. Like this choker that I got from Charming Charlie and this necklace that I got from my mom. With that I added some simple hoops, a ring and my silver watch. I snagged these trendy sunnies for only $5! These 50s vintage inspired sunnies have been one of favorite pair of sunglasses to wear lately. You can check out another way I styled them here.

I have been beyond busy but I couldn’t be more grateful! I have been making more time for my first passion – dance! I have been making time to practice my improvisation skills as well as technique. In case for some reason you don’t follow me on social media, (All social media channels @sofabulouslysweet) I am currently in 2 working productions and I am beyond excited! I will be participating in the burlesque show that I did last year! I did a post last year on my 1st burlesque experience and overcoming insecurities so definitely feel free to check it out! We had our first rehearsal last week and when I tell you guys it’s going to be fire?! GURRRLLLL! You can find all details such as showtimes and ticket info here.
The second production is called the One Nation Project and I hope you guys may be able to check it out! It is filled with great music, interesting story lines, and touches on a lot of issues from war to abusive relationships. But it is not completely gloomy, I promise. You just have to see it for yourself. Show dates are Nov 10th and 11th here in Houston as well. But the best part is that we will be taking the show to Chicago! We will be in Chicago to present the show in a Chicago theater film festival! I am totes excited and I will definitely make sure to do some #ootd looks while I am there! (lol) Whenever I get more information I will make sure that I let you guys know!
I have decided that due to my new intensive schedule that I would go back to blogging on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s. I feel like this will not only be a little easier on me but a lot better for you all. It has definitely been a challenge to get 5 blog posts up a week on top of a 9-5 on top 4-5 days of rehearsals that are 2+ hours long. I definitely want to be fair to you guys who read my random tidbits that I post on a more consistent basis. This will hopefully give me enough time to take and edit photos as well as type up my posts as scheduled. You guys know that at the end of the day I want what’s best for my sweetie pies!
I am so blessed and excited to be performing and creating again. It is definitely a good feeling! Make sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat (Ososweetstormie). Those are the social media outlets where I will be sharing a lot of my day to day so feel free to stop by and tell your girl hey!
