Thinking of the Tropics

“Art will remain the most astonishing activity of mankind born out of struggle between wisdom and madness, between dream and reality in our mind.” Magdalena Abakanowicz

Hey my Sweetie Pies! Happy Friday! I have a jam packed and exciting weekend planned because guess what, it’s my birthday weekend! I will be turning a year older and hopefully a year wiser on the 16th! I have a lot of things planned. For starters, I am hosting a trunk show tonight here in Houston at the Fashion Truck Society from 6-9 pm and then my boyfriend has something planned for me. I have no idea what though, but I LOVE surprises so I am anxious to see what that’s going to be. I always like to do something where I can be somewhat of a big kid so I am going to Dave and Busters with some friends tomorrow evening and then hitting the town tomorrow night with my girls! I am so excited! I will try to take pics so that I can show you all later.

I have been thinking lately since we are getting back in the routine of school, work and all that extra that summer is ending too soon… and I am NOT ready! (pouty face) I absolutely love the summer time it is my fave season. I definitely wouldn’t mind taking an end of summer vacation. I would definitely hit up a beach or two, or an island lolz. So in honor of how I am feeling, I am rocking this tropical romper that I got a while back from Charlotte Russe.

I am not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about posting these pics because I thought I looked so exposed. I thought I looked so revealing. I sometimes struggle with my curves and how I look in certain clothes. But it is a journey, self love and positive self image is a journey definitely not a destination. I have thick thighs and a curvy midsection but I can’t be afraid to rock clothes because I am not a certain size.
I just want you guys to know that even though I post pics of me on here all the time doesn’t mean that I don’t struggle with my image and/or what I think people may say. Then I have to remind myself that I am doing this for me, and no one else. So love yourself ladies! You will thank yourself later. 🙂
As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie
