I was so elated to be back at Austin Fashion Week this Fall! I brought my husband photographer and our daughter to partake in the festivities as well! My daughter even practiced her runway walk! (Then proceeded to get upset once I wouldn’t let her actually walk onto the runway LOLZ) We ate at some of our family favorites as well as tried out some ice cream! I particularly enjoy going to AFW for many reasons. I admire the inclusivity when it comes to the models and brands. I appreciate how we are encouraged to yell and support the models. The vibes are always top tier of course. I also enjoy the pace of the city. It is nice to park the car and walk around to check out the shops and restaurants.
We started the day by attending the 1:30 runway shows which consisted of designs featured by several designers. Designs included streetwear, children’s wear, formal wear, and athletic wear. The shows were outside but the weather was friendly. Austin Fashion Week celebrated 15 years of providing fashion runway shows and pop ups highlighting independent and emerging brands. Congrats on 15 years!
Fun Fact: Austin Fashion Week is the 4th largest fashion week concept in the United States. Some of the designers I got to see were @brittanyallen.atx, @cc.coral, @itsabstraction, @allu.apparel, @cabriolle_official, @choix_fashion, @shopespiritulibre, @kweensroyalteesllc, @sunflowerbyraceaustyn, @bibiane_ny, @misunderstoodbyeddie, @sada.baltimoredesigns, @youngods_clothing, @valentimes, etc.
