Hey sweetie pies! In 2014, I decided that I wanted to create a creative outlet where I could share my passions and experiences. I wanted a platform where I could hopefully inspire others and vice versa. It is so crazy to think that that was almost 4 years ago. As I continue on this blogging journey, I have been asked about a number of things blogging related. 1. Do you need a lot of money to start a blog?
Honestly no you do not! There are ways that you can set up a blog/site for free. However, if you are looking to turn your blog into a business, then I suggest that you purchase a domain. There are various sites that you can try to purchase your domain – some as inexpensive as $3. Depending on your niche, you will need something to take pictures/video, editing software and possibly subscriptions for different resources. All of this can vary based on what you want for your blog. But if money is tight, or better yet non-existent, you can still start a blog for little to nothing!

I do make money but in my opinion I don’t make enough to get rid of my other jobs. But it is nice to provide additional income.

4. I want to start a blog but I am not sure where to begin. How do I decide on a niche?
Think about your passionate about and then go from there! Perhaps you don’t like you have a “passion” but you have interest in several subjects. If this sounds like you, brainstorm first and then narrow it down from there. Whatever your niche, it should be something that you enjoy but also something that you are willing to share with the world.
5. Is it true that blogging can replace or exceed my current income?
Yes this is very true! But it requires some work and man hours to build your blog to that level. I have blogger colleagues who blog full time and make full time income from their respective blogs. But they will quickly tell you that it is a lot of work – but work that they truly enjoy. I believe that it is possible and it is something that I strive towards as a blogger……(one day)
