How to Dress like a Top Fashion Blogger!

Happy Monday sweetie pies! I hope you guys have an awesome and productive week. You ever come across bloggers/style stars and wonder how they can pull off even the most insane outfits? I get a lot of fashion inspiration from bloggers – I love seeing personal style and it definitely influences my personal style. Fashion bloggers always seem to have the most unique and fabulous pieces but what makes them style stars is how they put looks together. Well envy no more, I am going to share my top tips on how to dress like a fashion blogger!

1. Confidence is Key!

One reason bloggers always look so awesome is because they are confident in their own skin and it shows! Make sure to love yourself and believe in yourself just as you are, then the rest will follow.

2. Basics that are not so… BASIC

Bloggers know and understand the importance of having those basics (ie: solid tees, a pair of dark and light wash jeans, a black bag) Those pieces that help lay the foundation for an outfit. It is important to have these pieces and I would even go further to say that is okay to splurge on these pieces. Not only will these pieces be great foundation for your #OOTD’s but also will transcend through all seasons. I will leave some of my personal suggestions below.

3. Upgraded Essentials

I firmly believe in pieces such as white button down, a trench coat, etc. but what makes these pieces stand out on a blogger lie in the details. Fashion bloggers are often very detail oriented and that shows in their style. Instead of getting a plain jane white button down, opt for one with embellishment or embroidery. I would suggest to not go too overboard with the details otherwise it will be hard to find multiple ways to style it. Fee free to check out these suggestions below.

4. The Secret is in the Accessories
I DEFINITELY have more accessories than I do clothes. You guys already know I am a sunglasses junkie. It is not just to protect my eyes but sunglasses definitely elevate your look. It is such a simple way to add to your look. Sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, belts, shoes and hats all are great accessories to have on standby just to give your look a little something extra. 5. Don’t Limit Yourself!
Bloggers wear exactly what they want. Don’t allow yourself to be put in a box – in fashion and in life. If there’s a trend or a certain item of clothing that you want to try? Go for it! The most memorable bloggers are the ones who are usually the most bold and the most unique when it comes to their personal style.

6. Dress for You!
Wear what makes you feel good – what makes you feel like the best version of you! You are the one that has to live in your body and live your life so do what makes you happy! I promise you, when you dress for yourself, it does wonders for your confidence! (See Keypoint 1 for reference.)

7. Take Risks
Don’t be afraid to mix prints, textures, trends and more! You may even surprise yourself. Like I have said on multiple occasions, some of my best looks have been from just experimenting.

8. Develop an Eye for Details
As I mentioned earlier (see #3) bloggers often have quite the eye for details and snagging the most fabulous and high quality pieces. If you can invest, I would advise to invest in your basics because those pieces you wear the most. However if you can splurge on a few nice pieces I definitely suggest going for it.

9. Maintenance
Not only does a blogger do an excellent job at maintaining her never-ending wardrobe but also maintains her appearance. It is important to top bloggers to make sure that their hair and nails are cared for. I am not saying that you have to spend mega bucks to look good but make sure to clip those split ends. Have your nails polished or not at all. (I personally can’t stand chipped nails, it can look really tacky!) Make sure to keep yourself looking nice and put together. 10. Have Fun!
Remember that dressing should be fun! Your style should be an extension of who you are. Let your creativity and self-expression shine! Those things are so important because those things will transcend when people look at your photos Talk about #OOTD #Goals!!!!
