Hey hey sweetie pies, with Mother’s day 2 days away I wanted to dedicate today’s post to my Mom. Here is my open letter to you…

Hi Ma Happy (Early) Mother’s day! I want to thank you for all the things that you have taught me

1. For teaching me to put God first

2. For teaching me to not be afraid to speak up for myself because no one else will do it for me.

3. For teaching me to not judge a book by its cover

4. For teaching me to be a strong woman

5. For teaching me the importance of an education

6. For teaching me the value of hard work

7. For teaching me to love life

8. For teaching me who I belong to

9. For teaching me to love myself

10. For teaching me take pride in what I do

11. For teaching me to respect my elders

12. For teaching me that my opinion holds value

13. For teaching me what unconditional love looks like

14. For teaching me that I should always trust my gut, my intuition

15. For teaching me that I can do whatever I set my mind to

16. For teaching me to fight for the life that I want

Ma, you are a true testimony of strength, love and light. You have always worked so hard to provide for us. Even though I could not ever pay you back, I hope that I have made you proud and that I continue to do so. I am so proud to inherit your sassy attitude and love of dance. God knew what he was doing with that one. It is so cool to think that you have so much love that you can love me and my 2 sisters all at the same time. You have shown us that there is nothing wrong with falling as long as you get back. Your stories of hardship and tough love has inspired us to give our best at all times. I always appreciate your transparency. Thank you for always being there when I call (or if you don’t answer you always call back) when I have a question about literally anything. You always have supported me and always 100 with me. (Thanks for that) I am so lucky to have a mom like you. I thank God for you and I love you. 🙂
