“You are not in this world to live up to other people’s expectations, nor should you feel the world must live up to yours.” ~ F. Perl
Hey Sweetie Pies! Sooo today is a special day because So Fabulously Sweet turns 1! So in honor of that I had to do a special post! This year has been quite a ride. I have learned so much, not only about blogging, but about myself as well. In today’s post, I will be recapping with some of my favorite posts as well as some of the many things I have learned along the way.
I realized that I have to stay motivated for myself and not others. Sometimes I was my own worst enemy when it came to how I looked in pictures or if I didn’t have alot of views for a particular post. Then I had to remember why I started in the first place.
I started my blog as a hobby if you will. I didn’t have much of a creative outlet at the time so I figured I would create my own. I had been debating on starting a blog for a while at the time. I have always loved fashion and dressing up, I would even get compliments on my outfits sometimes. I was following other bloggers and was becoming so inspired so I figured why not?
And I loved it! I loved being able to have the create freedom to do EXACTLY what I wanted. It’s been so liberating! So when I have those doubtful moments I just reflect back to why I started. And at the end of the day, no one can stop me from doing me but well, ME! lolz
Another thing that I have been guilty of is comparing myself and the success of my blog to others. Not only is this unhealthy, it is very dangerous if you ask me. I have to remember that I am not on the same journey as others. I don’t talk about the same things that other bloggers talk about. I have to remember that I can’t beat myself up about things like that.
I have to stay self motivated as well as celebrate the success of other blogs while continuing to develop and expand my own. I just continue to work hard and allow myself to be inspired daily so that I can take So Fabulously Sweet to the next level.
I have learned so much about blogging such as learning to be consistent with my content on here. In the realm such as this one, I have to post regularly to stay relevant. It also gives my Sweetie Pies something to look forward to if they know when a post is going to go live.
Even though this started as a hobby, the longer I work with this blog, the more involved I get. I am blessed to say that I have participated in link-ups, giveaways, and collaborations with other bloggers. I am also excited to say that I have some sponsorship with awesome companies such as +Rocksbox .
I thank God for giving me the courage to start this blog, the tools to do so, and the vision to even start this blog in the first place. I am so excited about what’s to come and expanding more into beauty and lifestyle posts. I want to eventually start a YouTube account where I do makeup tutorials and in depth fashion videos. I want to continue to do more and expand the brand “So Fabulously Sweet” and I hope you all to continue to come along for the ride. I lastly want to thank you all, my Sweetie Pies for all of the support and joining me this far. Even though I believe that I started this blog as something for myself, it’s imperative that I have the support of you all. That also includes doing what best serves you all. With that being said, what are some things that you all would like to see here on So Fabulously Sweet? I want to hear what things you would like to read about, fashion tips, makeup tutorials, etc. Make sure you comment below.
Also, which of these outfits was your favorite? I am so excited for what’s to come for So Fabulously Sweet. Happy Blogaversary to ME!
As always, XO and Stay FAB! ~ Stormie
