That’s Why it is Called STYLE!

“Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It’s the one and only thing you have to offer.” – Barbara Kingsolver

Hey Loves! I want to share something with you guys that is somewhat of a pet peeve to me. So I saw a post a couple of days ago and the comments that certain individuals made bothered me to the core. The comments came off very one-sided and very judgmental. Now don’t get me wrong I fully understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, it bothers me when one person doesn’t know how to express that opinion without sounding like a douche. I also understand that everyone doesn’t know how to properly communicate their thoughts in an appropriate manner. However, one should always be considerate of how they communicate their thoughts to others. I say all that to say this, one’s opinion simply doesn’t matter. Do not let someone’s small-minded opinion affect the way you look or think about yourself. What other people think of you is simply none of your business.

Don’t let anyone define who you are, what you should wear, how to act, etc. At the end of the day, I ultimately strive to please God and no one else. I am ALL about self expression using every venue possible. If you want to color your hair, do it. If you want to try a new sport, do it. If you want to follow your dream, do it! Life is hard and short enough as it is. Don’t stress yourself out due to others’ limited thoughts of you. Because those who matter don’t mind and those who do mind don’t matter! (I did get that right huh you guys?)

That’s one thing that I love about my blog. I get to celebrate my artistic view on fashion and style as well as allow myself a platform to express myself. Fashion associates itself with trends, defining and almost dictating what one is to wear to be considered acceptable. Style relates to what you take from fashion and how you make it your own.

I absolutely love this outfit! I was originally gonna wear the chambray shirt over my gray tee but I thought tying it around the waist made it edgy. I absolutely love the flow of the skirt with glam of the glitter platforms. So remember don’t be afraid be different, be unique. There can’t be another you so flaunt it! Do what makes you happy. Stay So Fabulously Sweet!
