Hey what’s good yall? I am so excited to share my experience at Austin Fashion Week in April. The entire weekend was a movie! From running errands, attending a show, going out with friends, and attending Austin Fashion Week with my family- your girl was on the move! I managed to vlog the entire weekend so make sure to check out my Youtube for the full vlog! (It will be linked below by the way)
Austin Fashion Week is a multi-day event featuring aspiring and experienced fashion designers. AFW created this platform that allows creatives to establish, connect, and create with other creatives to put on fashion runway shows that are beautiful and entertaining. The designers showed up and showed out this year! I have runway photos of some of my favorite looks that were photographed by my husband @myview.art. For more runway looks, make sure to check out my vlog!
My husband, daughter, and I attended Saturday’s shows which included Discover, Incubate, and Ode to the OG’s. Discover was a fashion show highlighting high school designers and emerging designers. This was so cool and something that I wished existed when I was a kid. Coming from a small town, this was not available to me at their age. This show’s lineup included the following designers:
Fashion Collective by Shop LC
ALVA
Atalantia Swimwear
Bibiane New York
Cabriolle
Designz by Raga
Jillian Laconti
Julianna Corazon
LILI Sewing Company
Liz Moctezuma
Lorenza
Mortal Vision
The Reclassified Ingenue
Regina’s Couture

The next show was Incubate. Incubate featured approximately 8-12 designers in the current ACCFI cohort and alumni. ACCFI is the Austin Community College’s Fashion Incubator. Designers featured in this show include:
Banbury Saints
Design Girls World
Florezco
Faire Sauvage
J. Marz Designs
Lost Generation
Onyx D’or
SLeep, Never
Sticky Gold
Universo Uno

The final runway show of the day was Ode to the OGs. This show featured designers who have been participating in Austin Fashion Week for several years now. This show included the following designers:
Adrienne Yunger
Any Old Iron
Caycee Black
Creed Voyles
Eesa Rani Style
Jen Ley
Kweens Royal Tees
LALA
Laura Citron
Martini Consignment & Martini Man Consignment
Mysterious by NPN
Nina Means
Samantha Plasencia
Swinney Designs

The final show of the night included a lot of my favorites. Designers include Kween’s Royal Tees, Laura Citron, Any Old Iron, Mysterious by NPN, and Sticky Gold.

Make sure to check out the vlog to see runway shows as well as all the things that I did that weekend. I loved seeing my friends perform in my friend’s show, attending Austin Fashion Week, running errands, and chilling at the house.
