It’s officially the first day of summer and I am sharing this year’s style lookbook! This lookbook contains outfits for the casual chick, the bold fashionista, and the practical princess. Personally, I dress according to my mood as well as what I am doing that day. My looks tend to vary from day to day. These looks are simply to inspire you to first shop your wardrobe and then add the pieces that you like. Of course when shopping, you want to shop wisely to maximize your wardrobe. You can check out my top rules for shopping to ensure that you’re maximizing your wardrobe’s investments.

Vest

The menswear vest trend has been revamped with a fitted, feminine tailored feel. Vests have been spotted in true form, as a dress, as well as a jacket. There’s a design out there that will compliment your wardrobe – just take inspiration from the looks below!

Renaissance Cowgirl

BIg thanks to our girl Beyonce for always providing style inspiration for the people! Denim, embroidery, silver, metallic, and cowgirl-esque pieces are no longer just for festivals.

Raffia

Rafia is that girl for the season! This material is one that definitely lends itself to the warmer temps. I personally love this trend because it gives vacation vibes. It gives holiday. It gives Island wear. This material has lent itself to multiple categories. You can find raffia in earrings, shoes, handbags, and even skirts. Just find what works best for you and try it out.

Abstract Patterns

Summer is the perfect season to go all in and go all out with your design choices. The boulder the better. Having abstract patterns in your wardrobe can add a little fun to an everyday look. Or if you were stepping out with friends then you will definitely be all the center of attention. Not sure where to start? Try it in a dress or in a handbag if you’re a bit skeptical.

Crochet

When it comes to trends for the summer , crochet is a no-brainer. There are so many ways to incorporate this fun trend into your wardrobe. Check out this look below that I initially styled some years ago. The dress is simply immaculate. From the design to the colorway, it screams vacation. I paired it with these raffia earrings, a handbag, and slide on mules to complete the look. It’s easy and Chic go to look for the summer.

Cutout

While cutouts have been trending for a while, they are definitely not going anywhere. The cutout trend is one that allows unique silhouettes and sexy designs into your wardrobe. I particularly love this mint green dress with the asymmetrical hemline and the cutout on The opposing side. Cutouts are found often on the sides around the waist area which helps to cinch in the waist area. They are also found in other parts of the garment. Ranging from the shoulders down to the hips. Finding a garment with the perfect cutout to accentuate your body type is key.

Statement Earrings

I don’t know about anyone else, but personally I get too hot to wear a lot of jewelry around my neck and wrist in the summertime. So statement earrings are a definite go-to for me. Wearing your hair up in a high pony or a bun with a pair of statement earrings and you are good to go. It takes out a lot of the guesswork for your accessories. Statement earrings tend to lend themselves well to any look. Check out these looks that I’ve created below with different styles for inspiration.

2 – Piece Matching Sets

When it comes to creating your summer wardrobe, two-piece sets are a must. When picking a two-piece set, versatility is key. I created a look that’s more formal in style, but I also have some more casual options available through my boutique. Feel free to check out the photos below. When picking a two-piece set, it’s imperative to find a set that you can wear multiple ways with other items in your wardrobe. Wardrobe. This guarantees your return on an investment as well as maximizing your wardrobe.

Female Silhouette

The female body has always served as inspiration time and time again. However, we are now seeing unique and bold designs featuring some of women’s most prominent features such as breasts stomach, hips, and in some cases vagina. Designers like John Paul Gautier have created some of the most beautiful and creative pieces with the female anatomy in mind. It’s definitely not for the modest or minimalist at heart, however, these pieces will always start a conversation and be a standout piece in your wardrobe for years to come. I definitely think it’s worth the investment, but I’m also a feminist.

Tiers & Ruffles

While we have seen ruffles and tears of ruffles on items for literally decades, this season, dresses in particular are a go-to. A flirty feminine take on this trend with a stunning dress and beautiful accessories is the perfect look for semi-formal occasions. Think weddings, graduations, tea parties, afternoon parties, and special brunches to wear a dress such as this.

Florals & Butterflies

Florals and butterflies for spring summer? Groundbreaking. All jokes aside. Florals and butterflies are so beautiful for the summer season. If you’re going to be outside, might as well reflect the beauty of the outdoors. These looks contain floral and butterfly inspired pieces that are perfect for summer.
