It’s officially the first day of summer and I am sharing this year’s style lookbook! This lookbook contains outfits for the casual chick, the bold fashionista, and the practical princess. Personally, I dress according to my mood as well as what I am doing that day. My looks tend to vary from day to day. These looks are simply to inspire you to first shop your wardrobe and then add the pieces that you like. Of course when shopping, you want to shop wisely to maximize your wardrobe. Rafia is that girl for the season! This material is one that definitely lends itself to the warmer temps. I personally love this trend because it gives vacation vibes. It gives holiday. It gives Island wear. This material has lent itself to multiple categories. You can find raffia in earrings, shoes, handbags, and even skirts. Just find what works best for you and try it out.
Abstract Patterns
Summer is the perfect season to go all in and go all out with your design choices. The boulder the better. Having abstract patterns in your wardrobe can add a little fun to an everyday look. Or if you were stepping out with friends then you will definitely be all the center of attention. Not sure where to start? Try it in a dress or in a handbag if you’re a bit skeptical.

When it comes to trends for the summer , crochet is a no-brainer. There are so many ways to incorporate this fun trend into your wardrobe. Check out this look below that I initially styled some years ago. The dress is simply immaculate. From the design to the colorway, it screams vacation. Cutout
While cutouts have been trending for a while, they are definitely not going anywhere. The cutout trend is one that allows unique silhouettes and sexy designs into your wardrobe. I particularly love this mint green dress with the asymmetrical hemline and the cutout on The opposing side. Cutouts are found often on the sides around the waist area which helps to cinch in the waist area. They are also found in other parts of the garment. Ranging from the shoulders down to the hips. Finding a garment with the perfect cutout to accentuate your body type is key.
Statement Earrings
I don’t know about anyone else, but personally I get too hot to wear a lot of jewelry around my neck and wrist in the summertime. So statement earrings are a definite go-to for me. Wearing your hair up in a high pony or a bun with a pair of statement earrings and you are good to go. It takes out a lot of the guesswork for your accessories. Florals and butterflies for spring summer? Groundbreaking. All jokes aside. Florals and butterflies are so beautiful for the summer season.
